  • Vivace Children’s Chorus welcomes singers in grades K-6.

  • Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 PM at Colesville Presbyterian Church in Silver Spring, MD.

  • Vivace is rooted in eastern Montgomery County and Silver Spring, and our rehearsal location is designed to be accessible to families in that area, but any K–6 singer is welcome to join us!

  • All children have to audition, but the audition is very short and informal. If the child is too shy to sing on their own, the director will sing “Happy Birthday” with the child.

  • Tuition for the season is $700. Singers who enroll mid-season in January will pay the pro-rated amount of $350. In 2026-27, we will begin a limited amount of partial need-based scholarships that will be on a first come first-served as needed basis.

  • Yes! Families enrolling more than one child receive a 10% sibling discount off of the second chid’s tuition.

  • Singers perform in at least two local concerts per year, with additional opportunities throughout the season including special collaborations with other arts organizations, singing at senior living communities, and in 2027, a special tour to Carnegie Hall. Any non-local performances are optional and require additional fees.

  • Absolutely. Many of our singers joined without knowing a single person, and that's part of what makes Vivace special! You'll find a warm, welcoming community from day one.
